Interference-Overloaded Networks
Last year we have some progress in mesh cooperative network, which removes edges between cells. This is research work, but the same time it is a room behind the door of densification. The first experiments show that such approach allows to create very similar conditions for all users, but it cannot further increase spectral efficiency as well as data rates. It is just a way for radio resource redistribution.
What if we ever reached a point, where adding more infrastructure did not allow to increase capacity? Will cellular networks eventually become interference-overloaded? Will densification be the death of 5G?
Does Huawei receive support from the Chinese government?
Huawei is an independent private company wholly owned by its employees. Huawei's capital structure and shareholder composition have been filed with China's assets supervision and administration authorities and comply with applicable Chinese laws and regulations.
The Chinese government has no ownership stake in or control of the company. Huawei conducts normal business activities in more than 170 countries and regions. All of our decisions are based on business needs. Our operations and management comply with all applicable laws and regulations as well as the company's regulations and processes.
To build trust among our partners and customers, we have been working to increase openness and transparency. For example, we are disclosing more information in our annual reports, which are independently audited by the international accounting firm KPMG.

5G: possible technologies
- Cognitive radio networks (including White Spaces)
- M2M and D2D communication
- massive MIMO for upper 6GHz carrier
- Intellegent HetNet
- Probably, device-centric architectures

What is next ?
Communications seek to minimize power and maximize information content. Power systems seek to maximize power and minimize information content. It is particularly interesting to see what happens when these fields physically come together in technologies such as a power line carrier and wireless power transmission.

Guardian intervals/CP in LTE slot structure
The extra length is due to the fact that 7 symbols (plus the CP) don't fit exactly into the slot. Here's the math:
7 symbols with the CP are 7 * (2048 + 144) = 15344 time units There are 15360 - 15344 = 16 samples left over, so they is simply added to the first CP in the slot (144 + 16 = 160) in order to completely fill the slot.

Action vs. Omission
- Action, even if it leads to an error implies experience and development. Omission implies stagnation and atrophy.
- Action leads to the solution. Omission or leads nowhere and leaves us in the past.
- Action requires courage. Omission is usually a sign of fear.
- Action builds confidence, omission is doubt.

Job in international high-tech companies (branches in Russia)
HotNews: since November 2012
Quantenna Communication is opening Research, Development & Deployment Center in Sankt-Peterburg. The center has plan to hire about 100 professionals up to middle 2013. Detailed information about this center you can read in Russian here.
Message from N. Mikhailov: "Building R&D office from ground zero. Hiring."
In Moscow you can find two big R&D center (Samsung and Huawei). We are always hiring qualified professionals in the following areas:
- FPGA and DSP programming
- Algorithm Design for DSP
- Wireless Communications
- Image Processing
- Video Technologies (video/audio codecs, fave-to-face conference systems)
- Wireless Power Transfer
- Power Supply Development
- a lot of IT directions (Cloud Computing, HPC, Enterprise Solutions, RT OS, Security Systems, etc.)
Samsung and Huawei R&D centers in Moscow are interesting in professionals with >3 years experience, or Cand. of Sc. with >1 year experience for different engineering positions, and Dr. of Sc. for principal engineering position or consultant.
Fresh graduates can send CV to Huawei: Technical Support and Deployment Department or Software Department. Also graduates can work in Samsung R&D Center at intern and engineer positions. Usually, Samsung has job fairs in May-June and October-November.
In Moscow you can find offices of Cadence and Mentor Graphics, and
in Sankt Peterburg - Mentor Graphics and Synopsys - world leaders in CAE-, CAD-tools.
Cisco, IBM and HP has engineering departments in Moscow, but Intel has engineering department in Moscow and research department in Nizhniy Novgorod. Also Nokia-Siemens Networks (NSN) has research and engineering department in Sarov.
Also I recommend to use LinkedIn service for job search too.
